GAMEHUB DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Meet the staff.

The minds behind the games.
Some assembly—and supervision—required.

Founder, GameHub

DigitalGuy

DigitalGuy created GameHub after being informed that yelling at a computer did not technically qualify as a career in software development. He remains unconvinced.

Known for his obsessive attention to detail, he once spent six hours adjusting the position of a single pixel, only to discover that he had been cleaning a speck of dirt off the monitor.

His management style has been described as unconventional, largely because most of his instructions begin with “Why the fuck is that doing that?”

DigitalGuy insists that every GameHub project is carefully planned, professionally managed, and completed according to a strict development schedule.

None of these claims have been independently verified.

Lead Programmer & Systems Programmer

Wasabi Kamikaze

Wasabi Kamikaze leads programming for the GameHub development team, overseeing game architecture, engine development, and the technical systems that make the games possible.

Known for his unconventional problem-solving methods, Wasabi reportedly wrote his first game engine on a calculator that did not have a programming function. The resulting software was later classified as a manufacturing defect.

Wasabi believes that clean code is a sign of a disciplined mind, although his coworkers have described his own source code as “an elaborate cry for help.”

He maintains that every bug is simply a feature that has not yet found its purpose.

Graphics & Animation Director

Penny Whipplebottom

Penny Whipplebottom oversees graphics, animation, and visual design for GameHub.

A veteran of the digital arts, Penny began her career designing graphics for an educational software company that went out of business shortly after releasing her first project. She maintains that the two events were unrelated.

Penny is renowned for her extraordinary attention to detail and her ability to spot a misplaced pixel from across the room.

Penny's longstanding disagreement with the programming department over the precise definition of the color purple has reached the arbitration stage. A third-party colorblind accountant has been retained as arbitrator.

Music & Sound Designer

Nigel P. Crumpet

Nigel P. Crumpet is responsible for music composition, sound effects, and audio production for GameHub.

A classically trained musician, Nigel claims to have studied at several prestigious European conservatories. None have been able to confirm his enrollment, although one has requested that he stop calling.

Nigel describes his musical style as a revolutionary fusion of classical composition and experimental electronic sound. His colleagues describe it as “difficult to turn off.”

He maintains that his greatest composition remains unreleased due to artistic differences with the recording industry.

Nigel has repeatedly referred to these as “autistic differences.” His publicist has asked him to stop giving interviews.

Pixel-art portrait of Darnell “Crash” Jackson

Quality Assurance Director

Darnell “Crash” Jackson

Darnell “Crash” Jackson serves as Quality Assurance Director for GameHub, ensuring that every game meets the team's rigorous standards for quality and general survivability.

Before joining the GameHub team, Darnell worked as a safety inspector at an amusement park. His employment ended following an incident involving a roller coaster, a porta-potty, and an unfortunate misunderstanding of the phrase “maximum occupancy.” All charges were eventually dropped.

He earned the nickname “Crash” after bringing down the team's entire development network while attempting to connect the break room toaster to the office Wi-Fi.

Darnell has since been prohibited from installing hardware, modifying network settings, or connecting any appliance capable of producing toast.

He considers these restrictions excessive.

Pixel-art portrait of Chuy P. Changa

Janitor

Chuy P. Changa

Chuy P. Changa keeps the GameHub team's workspace clean and ensures that nobody puts food waste in the recycling bins.

Despite having no formal education in computer science, Chuy possesses an extraordinary and entirely unexplained understanding of collision detection.

When objects in a game pass through each other or become permanently stuck together, Chuy is frequently the only person capable of identifying the problem.

Chuy has never written a program on his own, can't explain what a compiler does, and refers to the dev team's computers as “the machines.” The programming department attributes his remarkable ability to a unique perspective. Chuy attributes it to the programming department being idiots.

When asked how he acquired this highly specialized knowledge, Chuy replied, “I used to drive a forklift.”
